AKRON—Thanks to growing demand for high consistency rubber in liquid injection molding segments, Shin-Etsu of America Inc. has expanded its team dedicated to these products.
The firm appointed Jim Miller HTV regional sales manager, Kevin Barbee as its liquid injection molding system process technician and Dan Madler associate chemist.
The firm said these additions will allow Shin-Etsu to penetrate deeper into traditional silicone HTV and liquid injection molding systems industries in the upper Midwest region.
Miller brings more than 20 years of professional technical sales and service experience, including positions at Philpott Rubber & Plastics and IER Fujikura.
Barbee brings more than a decade of experience, holding positions with Quality Synthetic Rubber and Forest City Technologies.
Madler will provide additional technical support to Shin-Etsu having recently graduated from the University of Akron. He spent time through a co-op program where he spent three rotations at UTC Aerospace in its materials department.
Shin-Etsu of America is the U.S. subsidiary of Japan-based Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd.
