There's a saying about butterflies and flapping wings and worlds forever changed.
I was thinking about that recently while organizing coverage of tire makers halting production in Russia and selling their assets there. The moves, of course, are a direct result of the country's continued attacks on Ukraine and its citizens.
It's been nearly nine months since Russia invaded Ukraine, but it feels like a lifetime. And perhaps that's because the world—or the tire industry, anyway—looks so incredibly different than it did earlier this year, a time-lapse evolution unfolding before our eyes.
When you take a step back and look at the full picture of the industry, at how it has reshaped and adapted its processes and operations, it is truly fascinating. Especially when you consider how nimbly and quickly it appears to have done so.
