OAKVILLE, Ontario—Former Goodyear Canada Inc. President Doug Hamilton died April 5 after a short illness. He was 69.
Hamilton worked for 34 years at Goodyear Canada before retiring in 2013. He began his career as in-house legal counsel and became president in 2009.
He was an officer and director of Goodyear Canada for many years and also served on the boards of various subsidiaries, primarily subsidiaries which operated retail networks.
Hamilton served on the boards of the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada, eTracks Tire Management Systems and Ontario Tire Stewardship.
He is survived by his wife Michele; daughters Kaye (Adam) and Gwen (Andrew); grandson Beckett; and brother Jim.
Those wishing to may make a memorial donation in Doug's name to Walton United Church in Oakville.
