Trelleborg Sealing Solutions expands PU portfolio

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has added to its polyurethane portfolio of solutions, offering PU seals for varying sizes of hydraulic cylinders and other hydraulic applications.

The new PU seals—specifically, piston, rod and buffer seals, and wipers—are available to customers in the Americas for light-, medium- and heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders, for both original equipment and retrofits.

"The PU product line complements our existing polytetrafluoroethylene seal package for piston and rod seals," said Beth Figliulo, segment manager for fluid power. "With a wide range of common PU seal sizes in stock and available for quick delivery, we now offer the market a single source for fluid power and off-highway sealing solutions backed by local engineering support, research and development resources and testing facilities."

The PU line can be used with hydraulic applications with pressures of 3,000 psi, and temperatures from -30ºF to 230°F.

"We also provide a variety of digital tools to help design engineers specify sealing solutions for both dynamic and static applications. In addition, our logistics and ServicePLUS centers provide full-service options for assembly and kitting. That means our customers truly receive everything they need from one source, whether that's seals, technical support or value chain assistance," Figliulo said.

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions manufactures and supplies seals, bearings and polymer components for a range of industries.
