GREENVILLE, S.C.—Bibendum isn't just for tires.
Bibendum, or the Michelin Man as he is commonly called, adorns the front of a portable mini refrigerator that Michelin North America is selling online.
According to the tire maker, the fridge can hold six (12 fluid ounce) beverage cans or four (16 fluid ounce) water bottles and is powered by with 12V DC or 110V AC power. The unit is just 10 inches tall and is lightweight and easy to transport.
"Michelin is the longtime leader in mobility innovation, and this fridge is the perfect accessory for someone on the move," Tom Jupena, director of lifestyle products for Michelin North America, said.
The fridge uses environmentally friendly CFC-free thermoelectric technology to cool to 32 degrees F (18 degrees C) below the surrounding temperature. It features an LED light inside the fridge door that can be turned on with a tap.
The fridge is also available on Amazon's Michelin brand store and Wayfair. It retails for around $99.99.
