EXTON, Pa.—A leading manufacturer of fluoropolymers and fluoroelastomers for gaskets and seals will bring its industry expertise to the Gasket Fabricators Association.
AGC Chemical Americas Inc. recently joined the trade organization of companies that provide fabricated parts and collective solutions for the gasket industry.
"Becoming an active member in the GFA gives us an opportunity to share information about the performance benefits of fabricating parts and components with advanced fluorine-based products," said Drew D'Agosta, AGC Chemical Americas director of sales and marketing. "In return, we will benefit from developing strategic relationships with industry professionals to solve fabrication and performance challenges and exchange ideas toward developing materials science solutions for the marketplace."
Exton-based AGC said its Aflas line of fluoroelastomers perform well in demanding conditions, such as high temperatures, and are resistant to chemicals, fuels, acids, bases, solvents, ozone and steam.
The firm added that its Fluon+ filled PTFE compounds "impart characteristics that are vital for components such as bearings, seals and gaskets used in applications where they need to withstand ongoing heat, pressure and dynamic environments."
