MUNICH—Wacker Chemie A.G. raised prices Sept. 7 for its Vinnapas dispersions and dispersible polymer powders line that is sold in Asia.
And effective Sept. 15, the chemical company will raise prices by 10 percent across its entire product range, "or as customer contracts allow."
"This measure has been necessitated by the increase in raw material costs and the extreme tightness of various raw materials," Wacker said in a Sept. 7 release. "The price adjustment enables Wacker Polymers to continue providing customers with a wide range of innovative quality products and comprehensive technical, sales and customer-support services."
The Vinnipas line of dispersions and powders is used in construction, adhesive and caulk sectors, nonwovens, paints and surface coatings, paper, carpets and textiles.
A division of the parent company, Wacker Polymers maintains facilities in Germany, China, South Korea and the U.S.
