FULDA, Germany—Uth GmbH will showcase its fine mesh straining equipment and technologies for silicone and rubber compounding at the upcoming International Elastomer Conference and Silicone Expo in Pittsburgh, Sept. 9-12.
Specifically, the firm will highlight its modular roll-ex gear pump technology. Feeding units for the technology include Uth's two-roll feeding unit; the single-screw extruder; and the conical twin-screw extruder.
These solutions can enhance surface quality and material homogeneity, according to Uth.
"IEC is the premier event where the best in our industry meet annually to share knowledge and discover new innovations," said Julia Uth, president of Uth North America Inc. "The merging of the IEC and Silicone Expo offers advantages to our company, giving us the opportunity to showcase our sustainable solutions and technological expertise in both rubber and silicone processing.
"This unified event will grant visitors enhanced access to a wider array of innovations, while offering exhibitors like us increased visibility and a valuable networking platform."
Uth, which will be at Booth 320, has offered innovative advancements over its four decades in the fine mesh straining space on the mixing line. Some of those include its Dual Drive concept, the "resource-saving two-roll plasticizer for reprocessing rework material, continuous milling and prewarming in rubber processing, along with its efficient, reliable silicone compounding solutions like the MDSE as an integrated solution for batch-mixing and discharging."
"In an ever-evolving industry that emphasizes quality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency, there is a growing demand for new technologies that enable gentle and process-safe material handling," Uth said.
