FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Trelleborg Sealing Solutions signed Daemar Inc. as an authorized distributor in the Northeast U.S. and Canada.
Trelleborg cited Daemar's experience in the Canadian sealing market and sales team as two reasons for the deal.
"Daemar's locations across the Northeast U.S. create a unique opportunity for growth in this region," Heather Castleman, senior director of strategy and marketing for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in the Americas, said in a statement.
Becoming an authorized distributor will help with supply chain communication, improved product access and decreased lead times for customers, according to Daemar President Craig Pirie.
"We'll be able to offer an expanded portfolio of high-quality hydraulic and pneumatic seals that carry the recognized and trusted Trelleborg name. And we'll be supported by Trelleborg's technical and training resources," he said.
Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, part of Trelleborg Group, makes precision seals, bearings and custom-molded polymer components and has U.S. operations based in Fort Wayne. Markets include aerospace, automotive and general industrial customers. The company has more than 25 production sites and more than 50 customer solution centers around the world.
