TRELLEBORG, Sweden—Trelleborg A.B.'s marine and infrastructure operation has relocated its headquarters and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, marine fender sales operation to a complex in Dubai.
The new headquarters will be located at Jafza One, a commercial complex with a larger office space in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, according to a company news release.
"The relocation to a larger office in Dubai paves the way for an ever-expanding team, and it also means that we are able to provide greater local presence and expertise, ensuring that we can handle increased customer and project demands even better," said Richard Hepworth, president of the marine and infrastructure operation. "The move to Jafza One is an important part in the next chapter of our business development."
Formerly Trelleborg Marine Systems, the marine and infrastructure operation was formed in early 2019, Trelleborg said. It includes the firm's infrastructure operation as well as its Qingdao-based sales office and manufacturing facility, where it produces marine fenders, docking and mooring equipment, and polymer products for railways, bridges, tunnels, buildings and power plants.
Trelleborg expanded the Dubai office team with two new positions to the management team and three positions to the marine fender sales team, according to the firm.
Jafza One, located along the deep sea port of Jebel Ali, provides access to new business opportunities as a maritime hub regionally and globally, Trelleborg said. The 34-story twin office tower complex will include a 322-room hotel, a 600-seat auditorium, 22 meeting and conference rooms and an exhibition hall of about 16,100 square feet when complete.
The marine and infrastructure operation provides engineered polymer products for the marine, infrastructure and renewable energy industries.
