WAKEFIELD, Mass.—Trelleborg Wheel Systems America Inc. is set to launch the All-Season CRT-800 rubber track, designed for compact track loaders in all conditions.
With its special tread pattern and state-of-the-art compound, the CRT-800 All-Season delivers higher grip and traction on snow and reduced braking distance, Trelleborg said.
The CRT-800 RT uses a cut-resistant rubber compound that protects the metal components from moisture, which causes oxidation and can lead to the failure of the RT.
The continuous wound cable bundle provides strength and flexibility to the track, preventing overstretching, eliminating weak spots caused by joints, and reducing the frequency of track adjustments, Trelleborg said. Brass coating also minimizes cable oxidation, reduces cable fatigue and maximizes operating life.
The All-Season features forged metal pieces and is less brittle compared to other tracks on the market that are typically made of cast iron, Trelleborg said.
"The new All-Season CRT-800 ... takes track engineering to the next level," said Mike Giordano, segment manager for rubber tracks at Trelleborg. "With no need for seasonal changeovers, operator costs remain low, as the All-Season is built to deliver optimal performance in all situations.
"From harsh winter conditions, to mud, sand and turf—the All-Season excels in tough jobs to a high level. In addition, it offers sharper braking for improved safety, a smoother ride for enhanced driver comfort, and increased turning ability for jobs in tight spaces."
