TRELLEBORG, Sweden—Trelleborg plans to reduce its CO2 emissions by 50 percent, relative to sales, by 2025 under a revised set of climate-protection goals.
The "50 by 25" target is part of a strategy to achieve net zero emissions across the rubber group's operations by the end of 2035, according to a Feb. 4 statement.
Trelleborg is "raising the bar considerably with our new five-year target and vision statement for 2035," according to Peter Nilsson, president and CEO of Trelleborg.
"Our operational units are working to develop clear plans for the transition to renewable electricity, while continuing systematic work to become increasingly energy-efficient in production and administration," he said.
