HYOGO, Japan – Toyo Tire Corp. has announced changes to its organizational restructure, including a reshuffle within its executive management team.
Effictive Jan. 1, Toyo established a new division to provide "integrated control" over its Rubber Products Development, Automotive Parts Testing and Automotive Parts Production Technology departments.
All three units perform functions related to automotive parts under the Technology Development Division of the R&D headquarters, Toyo said in its Dec. 27 announcement.
With the organizational change, the company "aims to enable better coordination among the departments and thereby enhance its automotive parts business capabilities."
Toyo is implementing the following changes for the divisions:
- The Automotive Parts Development Division will be established under the R&D Headquarters.
- Rubber Products Development under the Technology Development Division will be renamed the Automotive Parts Development Department and transferred to the newly established Automotive Parts Development Division.
- The Automotive Parts Testing Department and the Automotive Parts Production Technology Department will be transferred from the Technology Development Division to the newly established Automotive Parts Development Division.
Related management changes, effective March 26, include Kiyohito Hasumi adding a directorship position to his existing role as corporate officer, vice president, business headquarters.
In the European region, Kenta Kuribayashi is to become corporate officer, VP, sales headquarters division general manager, Europe, Africa & Middle East sales division.
Kuribayashi is currently corporate officer and president at Toyo Tire Holdings of Europe GmbH, and managing director of Toyo Tire sales and marketing Europe L.L.C Indija.
Tatsuo Mitsuhata, current corporate officer, VP, sales headquarters, also is to become senior corporate officer, chairman and CEO of Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc., and division general manager, Americas business development division, sales headquarters director.
