Greene Tweed, Topcast seal deal for aerospace OEM sales

SINGAPORE—The Singapore Airshow, the largest aviation open house and business exposition in Asia, served as the back drop for a Feb. 16 distribution agreement reached between Topcast Group and Greene Tweed Co. Inc.

With its manufacture of critical-function seals, connectors and structural components, Greene Tweed, headquartered in Lansdale, Pa., will target the Asia Pacific and South American regions through Topcast, which will become the exclusive OEM distributor for the full Greene Tweed aerospace product range throughout the entire Pacific Rim, including China, South Korea and Japan.

The two companies have had a long-standing distribution partnership.

"Topcast Group is well positioned to deliver high-performance sealing solutions and structural components ... through its extensive distribution network in the region."

Topcast, based in Hong Kong, is a supplier of parts, MRO services and aftermarket parts for the aviation industry. The pact with Greene Tweed brings in OEM sales.

According to Topcast, the aircraft seals market is expected to grow from $1.9 billion in 2021 to $2.4 billion in 2026, at an annual growth rate of 5.1 percent during this time.

Under the new pact, Topcast Group will feature more than 1,300 Greene Tweed products.

The two companies also expect that supply chain efficiencies and reduced transportation costs will be realized with the partnership.

Besides aerospace, Greene Tweed works in the energy, industrial and life sciences sectors.
