AKRON—Tire Society has put out a call for abstracts for its 44th annual conference, set for Sept. 23-25 at the University of Akron's Jean Hower Taber Student Union Ball Room.
All abstracts must be submitted by March 3.
The conference's theme this year is "Rolling Toward Sustainability: Tires for a Greener Future." Officials said that submitted papers are open to researchers, policymakers, industry professionals and other interested individuals, and must be unpublished and original.
"This annual conference is a forum for engineers, scientists, users, policymakers, students and advocates to learn about innovations that will drive our industry in the years ahead," Tire Society officials said. "By effectively communicating our knowledge and research, we can influence practices and policies and inspire innovation at all levels."
Additionally, all submitted abstracts must address, but are not limited to, topics such as sustainable materials for efficient tires, regulatory solutions for a sustainable tire industry and transforming waste, among others.
The annual conference will include technical paper presentations from officials around the tire industry, as well as a lecture by a renowned technical speaker, sponsor exhibits and a keynote address from an industry leading voice.
Accepted papers will be notified no later than May 2, and accepted writers must submit presentation material by Aug. 15.
Those interested can submit an abstract for the Tire Society's annual meeting at tiresociety.org/call-for-papers.
