Several of the world's largest suppliers, including mainstays of previous shows, are skipping or scaling back their presences at Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the giant Las Vegas technology conference.
Magna International Inc., North America's largest supplier, will skip the latest edition of the show, a spokesperson said. The same is true for German supplier giant ZF Group, though representatives from both companies will be on hand for meetings.
Likewise, French supplier Forvia—formerly Faurecia—will miss CES, instead focusing on its presence at the Shanghai auto show later in the year. Forvia plans to return to CES in 2026, a spokesperson said.
Those suppliers, which rank among the 10 largest in the world, held press conferences at CES within the previous two years, during which time the show's media days morphed into something of a supplier technology showcase. Bosch, the world's largest supplier, is the only traditional parts maker scheduled to hold a press conference at the 2025 CES media days.
