"This is a new step in our cooperation with Safic-Alcan," Imerys Distribution Manager Philippe Reygnier said in a statement. "With this agreement we will provide our customers with better service as Safic will be their unique contact for all of our products.
"We are confident that this will be beneficial to our customers and that Safic-Alcan is ideally suited to the performance of our products thanks to their historical technical expertise."
Safic-Alcan Group and Imerys have worked together in the cosmetics market, and this new agreement extends to performance products, covering kaolin, talc, carbonates, PCC, formica, diatomite, perlite and wollastonite. All of these ingredients serve to make rubber stronger, lighter and more sustainable.
"We are delighted to further extend our long running partnership with Imerys, enhancing our strategy to build a strong and durable link with our partners," said Philippe Cenreaud, managing director for products performance for Safic-Alcan Group. "We are also happy to have a partner well-aligned with our commitment for sustainable development and to develop our portfolio with sustainable solutions."
