R.D. Abbott discusses the past, present and future of the rubber industry in a five-minute documentary filmed by the Viewpoint Project.
GARDEN GROVE, Calif.—R.D. Abbott's passion for education and firsthand knowledge in rubber formulation and fabrication will be on display this week.
Filmed by the Viewpoint Project, the materials science, engineering and distribution company will share its industry insight in a five-minute documentary hosted by actor Dennis Quaid.
R.D. Abbott will educate TV audiences on the past, present and future of the rubber industry in this documentary, which airs May 26 and May 28, on Fox Business Network. The documentary will air between longer-form programming on public television stations across the U.S.
It highlights R.D. Abbott's facilities, personnel and equipment with commentary on applications and markets where rubber is essential—like transportation, aerospace, construction and health care—and where corresponding applications are improving fuel efficiencies, reducing carbon dioxide emissions and contributing to medical breakthroughs.
R.D. Abbott CEO Keith Thomas shares some history about the rubber industry in the company's five-minute documentary, airing May 26 and May 28 on Fox Business Network.
"We are humbled and excited about this opportunity," said R.D. Abbott CEO Keith Thomas, who appears in the documentary along with Jerry McCall, vice president of sales and marketing; Rick Ziebell, vice president of technology and technical fellow; and Gerardo Ramirez, Jr., former R.D. Abbott intern.
"Rubber has made a profound impact on all our lives, from the way we walk to the way we communicate, and the way we travel. It has touched every aspect of our lives and brought tremendous value and tremendous quality," McCall said during the filming.
The Viewpoint Project comprises a team of professionals who produce educational content exclusively for public television stations. R.D. Abbott was selected to participate because of its passion for education and experience in the rubber industry.
