RPN is seeking 'right' Exec of the Year

Perhaps your nominee is a leader who demonstrated extra care to ensure company employees were staying healthy and safe. Or perhaps it is someone who worked in collaboration with a firm's staff, vendors and customers to make sure the business remained essential, or helped the business to re-tool to supply vital goods that were in short supply.

At the end of every year since 1989, Rubber & Plastics News has crowned its Rubber Industry Executive of the Year. While so much of 2020 has been unprecedented—both in life and business—I feel it's more important than ever that this year we find the right person for this honor.

And to do that, we need your help. We ask that you nominate a candidate who you feel exemplifies the traits of an executive who has led his or her company through this turbulent year.

It is true that many of the traditional measures of business success don't apply this year. But so many other tenets of good leadership mean even more in this time of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Candidates can come from companies of any size. It's an easy process to nominate a candidate, and here's all you need to know:

The award goes to the lead executive of a North American manufacturer of finished rubber goods (including urethanes and TPEs). Suppliers to the industry are not eligible, but can nominate a manufacturer who is.

Deadline for nominations is Nov. 4. The RPN editorial staff determines the winner, who will be announced in our Dec. 14 issue.
