EXTON, Pa.—Raw material cost escalation has caused Resin Solutions L.L.C. to increase the price of its hydroxy terminated polybutadiene product line, known as the "Poly bd" portfolio.
The 25-cents-per-pound (50-cents-per-kilogram) price hike for all deliveries, across all products and regions, takes effect Aug. 15.
"The increase is due to the ongoing raw material cost escalation, particularly butadiene, which has doubled since the beginning of the year," the company stated in an Aug. 14 release. "Resin Solutions continually works to minimize raw material and other cost increase impacts. However, at this time Resin Solutions is no longer able to absorb the significant and persistent raw material cost escalations."
