AKRON—Registration is open for the International Elastomer Conference, set for Oct. 4-7 in Pittsburgh.
Hosted by the ACS Rubber Division, the event is intended to bring the industry together for sharing ideas, exploring new technologies, building new business connections and professional networking.
To be hosted at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, the IEC includes an expo featuring more than 160 companies and organizations, and a technical program that offers more than 90 different presentations. Eleven educational workshops are planned for this year's event and the popular Women of the Rubber Division (WORD) Workshop will return as well.
Also returning to the IEC is the student symposium and career fair.
The 2021 Science and Technology Award winners—including the 2021 Charles Goodyear Medal winner—will be honored at the event. Due to the cancellation of last year's Spring Technical Meeting, the 2020 Science and Technology Award winners were recognized at this year's spring meeting, opening the door for the 2021 honorees to be recognized this fall.
