Rubber Division's WORD Conversation to feature Krista Toutant

When Krista Toutant is named chair of the ACS Rubber Division next year, she'll be just the third woman to hold the position since the organization's founding more than 100 years ago.

And her leadership and insights already are a critical part of helping the Rubber Division—and the industry overall—as it moves forward. She'll be sharing some of those insights and perspectives during a special conversation next month.

On March 29, the Rubber Division as part of its popular Women of the Rubber Division program, will host its first WORD Conversation of 2023. During the program, Toutant will speak with Terry DeLapa, the first woman to serve as Rubber Division chair.

The one-hour Zoom webinar begins at noon Eastern. There is no cost to attend.

Toutant, a business line manager with R.D. Abbot Co. Inc., brings more than 20 years of industry experience to her role as chair-elect, having worked on both the manufacturing and supply side of the industry.

She received her MBA from West Virginia University and is a founding member of the Bourbon Trail Elastomer Group. Her previous service with the Rubber Division includes participation in its Membership, Marketing and Future Sites committees. Toutant also was a panelist for the first WORD Workshop held at the 2019 International Elastomer Conference.
