Say hello to the 2024 Rubber News ranking of the Top 50 North American rubber products makers! The annual ranking and its associated stories are now live in the Data Store.
The top five North American rubber sales leaders moved around a bit from last year, but no new companies broke in and each of the top five easily maintained their respective spot. Beyond the top five, there was plenty of leap-frogging and restructuring within the top 15. Yokohama, for example, dropped out of the top 10, slipping from No. 6 in last year's rankings to No. 13 this year. Meanwhile, Pirelli Tire North America climbed four spots to No. 9, taking over the position formerly held by Freudenburg.
There were several other notable leaps and falls in the remainder of the top 50, including Sumitomo Riko Co. Ltd., which climbed six spots to No. 22 and Titan International Inc., which dropped 14 spots from last year to No. 31—though with its February 2024 announcement of its acquisition of Carlstar Group L.L.C., a rebound seems likely.
Globally, the non-tire rankings experienced a bit more of a shake-up. Though Freudenberg and Continental maintained their respective first and second positions, the remaining companies swapped positions, made major leaps, or tumbled down the ranks.
