The new Rampf Advanced Polymers business officially launched July 1. It combines its Eco Solutions, Polymer Solutions and Tooling Solutions businesses. The Polymer Solutions business was renamed Rampf Advanced Polymers at the beginning of April as a prelude to the wider restructuring.
The new company develops and manufactures reactive resin systems based on polyurethane, epoxy, silicone and silane-modified polymers. The portfolio includes sealing systems, casting resins, adhesives, and both board and liquid materials for model and mould engineering. It also offers chemical technology for the manufacture of recycled polyols from PU, PIR and PET waste.
It has manufacturing operations in Germany, the U.S. and China. Research and development activities are now coordinated and managed centrally, with its chemical expertise pooled across departments and countries. The companies believes the resulting synergies will accelerate the development of new products, and the improvement of existing ones.
“We particularly look forward to advancing our closed-loop approach for the recycling of plastic waste even more consistently as part of Rampf Advanced Polymers,” said CEOs Christian Weber and Peter Barwitzki. “Protecting our environment has always been an intrinsic motivation of the Rampf Group, both ecologically and economically. This also reflects our sense of responsibility towards society.”
