CHICAGO—The Power Transmission and Distributors Association Foundation is accepting nominations for its two most prestigious leadership awards, the Wendy B. McDonald Woman of the Year Award and the Robert K. Callahan Advancing Leaders Award.
Nominations can be submitted through June 9, according to the foundation.
"The Wendy B. McDonald Woman of the Year Award recognizes a woman who, regardless of where she is in her career, brought change as an integral contributor to the success of her company and the PT/MC industry in 2022," according to an April 17 release from the PTDA.
The honor was established in 2014 in tribute to Wendy B. McDonald, a philanthropic industry pioneer.
Ambitious individuals who seek to grow in the power transmission and motion control industries are awarded the prestigious Robert (Bob) K. Callahan Advancing Leaders Award.
According to the foundation, Callahan made a lifelong commitment "to support the advancement of next generation trailblazers in the PT/MC industry."
Nominations for this award are not gender specific and all will be considered, the PTDA said.
Presentations will occur at the PTDA 2023 Industry Summit in Amelia Island, Fla., in October.
The PTDA Foundation was founded in 1982 "to champion education, outreach and research initiatives relevant to the PT/MC industry that enhance the knowledge and/or professionalism and productivity for industry stakeholders."
