Polymer Solutions Group to present webinar on SureMix technology

CLEVELAND—Polymer Solutions Group and Rubber News are teaming up to present a webinar March 15 that will focus on sustainability and performance goals for the tire and rubber industries.

Cleveland-based PSG—a maker of polymer additives dispersions and release agents—will have Aaron Puhala, vice president of innovation, and Rikki Lamba, managing director of additives, present "Decarbonization & Sustainable Solutions for Rubber & Tire Industries—Setting the Benchmark with SureMix."

The webinar, hosted by Rubber News, will air March 15 from 2 to 3 p.m., Eastern time. Registration is free, and registrants will receive access to the webinar recording and additional post-event resources.

PSG said the webinar is the first in a series "designed to help tire and rubber parts producers meet their sustainability and performance goals and aspirations."

Puhala and Lamba will present how tire producers are leading the way to safer and more sustainable mobility by using such products and technologies as functional polymers, higher surface are fillers and increased silica loadings. They also will discuss downstream processing challenges associated with improving performance and demonstrate how SureMix's chemistry helps formulators overcome those problems and cut conversion costs while optimizing cure rates, improving filler microdispersion, and reducing their carbon footprint.

"Responsible sourcing and operations are critical components in today's tire manufacturing process," Lamba said. "SureMix is a 100-percent bio-based product line and the key to reducing energy consumption (by 20-50 percent) by reducing mixing time while improving downstream processing."

Puhala added that "SureMix is a great example of how PSG is committed to providing our customers with the material technologies they need to meet the challenges of today and fuel their aspirations for the future."

After the presentation, Joe Pryweller of Rubber News will moderate a brief Q&A with Puhala and Lamba.
