When it comes to tires, sustainability is a tall task.
But Polymer Solutions Group believes it can help. And that's where SureMix comes in.
During an hour-long webinar on June 7 PSG's Product Innovation Chemist Gabriel Short and Innovation Program Manager Vince Cremona will introduce PSG's SureMix S6.
Throughout the program Short and Cremona will explore the complexities of using higher silica levels in tire tread compounds to enhance wet traction, wear resistance, and handling. They will highlight the challenges that come with these improvement—increased viscosity, processing difficulties and reduced fuel economy—as well as complications introduced by high-temperature silanization. Disruptions in this sensitive process, PSG said, can lead to pre-scorch and increased scrap.
There is no cost to attend the Rubber News-hosted webinar, "Improvement in Process Stability of Silica Tread Compounds: How the Novel Chemistry of SureMix S6 Can Protect a Silica Filled Tread Compound from Process Upsets & High Temperatures." It begins at 8:30 a.m. June 7.
In addition to the live program, registrants will have access to an on-demand recording afterward.
