BEDFORD PARK, Ill.—NoTrax USA Inc., a maker of rubber mats, is set to close its facility in Bedford Park, eliminating 63 jobs in the process.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the operations at the Illinois facility will be relocated to existing facilities in Moselle, Miss, sometime around Sept. 23. Some managers, the notice said, will have the opportunity to relocate. Remaining workers will be laid off.
Workers do not have bumping rights.
In addition to the two U.S. facilities, NoTrax also has distribution operations in Barendrecht, Netherlands.
According to the company's website, the 240,000-sq.-ft. Bedford Park facility manufactured compression molded rubber mats.
The facility also served as the company's headquarters.
The Moselle plant, which will take on the Illinois plant's compression molded operations, also makes vinyl sponge, injection molded solid vinyl and laminated anti-fatigue matting products. That 150,000-sq.-ft. plant is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified.
