AKRON—Polymer producer Myers Industries Inc. is spiffing up its brand with a new logo and website.
The company, which makes products for the industrial, agricultural, automotive, commercial and consumer markets, rolled out the new look and brand identity, which it said in a news release is "intended to more clearly represent the company's comprehensive offerings and value to customers."
Myers said the new branding, logo and website "reflect the company's ongoing transformation toward its 'One Myers' strategic vision" and help to emphasize "the company's unique position, broad suite of technologies and deep plastics expertise."
Mike McGaugh, president and CEO of Myers, said in a statement the branding "advances the culture of the company" and is "a natural progression of our long-term vision and strategic objective to transform our Material Handling segment into a customer-centric innovator of engineered plastic solutions while continuing to grow and optimize our Distribution segment." Myers is a distributor of tools, equipment and supplies for the tire, wheel and under-vehicle service industry.
The company has about 2,400 employees and posted revenues of more than $510 million in 2020.
On Aug. 2, Myers announced it had acquired the assets of Trilogy Plastics, a rotational molder in Alliance,Ohio, that specializes in high-tolerance parts and assemblies for a variety of applications, for an undisclosed price. Myers said Trilogy has two U.S. manufacturing facilities and employs about 265 people. Its annual revenues are about $35 million.
The deal is Myers' second acquisition since November 2020, when Myers bought Indiana's Elkhart Plastics, another rotational molder, for $62.5 million.
