LINCOLN, Neb.—Monolith Materials Inc., which last year introduced the operational capability of its proprietary process to convert natural gas into carbon black and hydrogen, will host a webinar on this sustainable method Feb. 4 at 8 a.m. CST.
The webinar, "Revolution: How Monolith is Changing Carbon Black Manufacturing Forever," is open to anyone interested in learning about this process, Monolith said.
"The innovation that Monolith is bringing to the marketplace seems revolutionary," said Chris Cornille, Monolith's chief commercial and supply chain officer. "Industry feedback on our process makes it is clear that sustainably-produced carbon black will become the industry standard sooner than later."
Monolith uses a pyrolysis method with natural gas as opposed to breaking down petroleum-based fuels to produce hydrogen and carbon black. The company's facility in Nebraska, just outside of Lincoln in Hallam, represents the first carbon black manufacturing plant built in the U.S. in 50 years.
"Once prospective customers learn what sustainable carbon black manufacturing can do for the planet, they immediately wonder what it can do for their brands," Cornille said.
