GREENVILLE, S.C.—Often, taking care of the planet means taking care of your community.
So Michelin North America Inc. is doing just that, throwing its support behind the programs and initiatives of United Way of Greenville and investing in stronger communities.
For the third consecutive year, Michelin employees have been recognized for leading contributions to the United Way through their workplace giving campaign. In the last three years, Michelin employees have donated a total of $2.7 million. It is the largest contribution made by a workplace in Greenville County.
And that's a No. 1 ranking Michelin is proud to hold.
"To again be named the No. 1 giving campaign is simply overwhelming," Will Whitley, director of state government affairs and community relations at Michelin North America, said in a statement. "Our employees continue to show their compassion, generosity and enthusiasm for the community year after year. It's especially exciting to receive this recognition as Michelin celebrates 35 years of being headquartered in Greenville, and almost 50 years in South Carolina."
