Molded Devices Inc., a Tempe, Ariz.-based plastics and rubber processor that was acquired by a private equity group in 2022, has a new name: Aptyx.
The name change is intended to recognize changes in the company, including its acquisition of two German medical tubing companies—GlobalMed Inc. and Schauenburg-Truplast—in November 2022, just a few months after TruArc Partners LP purchased MDI.
"I'm thrilled to officially bring these remarkable companies under one name and to draw on their innovative manufacturing capabilities and technologies to help clients solve tough challenges with confidence," Aptyx President and CEO Gregg Tobin said in a news release.
