DANVERS, Mass.—Maxam Tire North America Inc. has added a 29-inch rim diameter size to its MS503 L5 traction tire lineup.
Maxam claims the MS503 is the industry's only L5 aggressive high-traction tread pattern tire available in that size. The tire, in size 875/65R29, is manufactured in Maxam's radial tire plant in Vietnam and offers a long-lasting rugged solution for wheel loaders and underground mining equipment.
The tire features an extra deep, open lug L5T traction pattern with staggered tread blocks and is made to provide continuous ground contact for improved ride comfort.
The MS503 incorporates a square shoulder design and wide footprint with a reinforced bead, shoulder and sidewall construction to perform with even greater stability.
The tire was built to provide the lowest cost-per-hour without sacrificing performance, Maxam said, integrating a durable cut and tear-resistant rubber compound that eliminates the constant threat of downtime due to tire damage.
"In today's demanding OTR industry, the addition of the 65-series positions the MS503 to be the only aggressive L5T tire in the industry available in wide aspect ratio, delivering even more stability, power and productivity to OTR applications globally," said Jimmy McDonnell, vice president of sales at Maxam Tire North America.
"To meet the evolution of newer equipment requiring higher load capacity and flotation, the MS503 65-series is engineered to perform exceptionally while safely tackling challenges of OTR equipment with maximum power, performance and reliability."
