USTMA's Luke receives 'prestigious' leadership award

WASHINGTON — Anne Forristall Luke, CEO of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), has been honored by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and Council of Manufacturing Associations with the CMA 2022 leadership award.

"When Anne Forristall Luke stepped up to serve as CMA chair in 2020, she hardly could have predicted she would be leading our community through very dark and difficult days of a global pandemic," NAM President Jay Timmons said, "but guided by her unfailing moral compass, she led us through those challenging times while also helping her own members navigate the incredible impact on her industry."

Timmons also is chairman of the board of the Manufacturing Institute. He announced the award during the CMA's winter meeting Jan. 13.

Forristall Luke also launched the CMA's diversity and inclusion initiative, Timmons added, "helping us use our individual and collective platforms to advance DE&I with a focus on closing the opportunity gap. And even after her time as chair had come to a conclusion, she still continues to lead our women's CEO network."

More than 260 manufacturing trade associations make up the CMA, all striving to better manufacturing in the U.S. The NAM works with its association partners to promote legislative, regulatory and economic policies that enhance manufacturing, support the professional development of association leaders and provide opportunities to connect with strategic allies.

Every year, the CMA recognizes an association leader who has advanced and expanded this network.
