PANAMA CITY—The Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo and the Latin Auto Parts Expo are the latest victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The shows, which had been rescheduled from July to Nov. 17-20, have been postponed until July 13-16, 2021. They both will be held at recently opened Amador Convention Center in Panama City, located near the Panama Canal.
According to organizers of the event, the Latin Tyre and Auto Parts shows were canceled "to prioritize the health and safety of our exhibitors and attendees."
Organizers say several safety protocols will be implemented in order to provide a safe environment for all.
"This new date allows our exhibitors, attendees, and expo staff to better prepare and handle these challenging circumstances," show organizers said. "Above all, our goal is to protect the health of our community and those around us."
According to organizers, the exhibition is the largest for tire and auto parts in Latin America. It has been held for more than 10 years.
The event's organizers, Latin Expo Group L.L.C., said they expect more than 400 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors from all over Latin America and the Caribbean to attend the expos.
