HOUSTON—Kraton Corp. is introducing a general price hike of $220 per metric ton for all hydrogenated styrene block-copolymer (HSBC) products.
Subject to terms of any applicable contracts—and surcharges—the price increase will take effect Oct. 1, Kraton said in a Sept. 6 announement.
This is the second time this year Kraton is increasing prices for the styrenic copolymers, following a similar round of hikes introduced earlier in July.
The Houston-based polymer supplier cited "the continued increase in raw material and transportation costs" as the main reason for the price increase.
