HANNOVER, Germany—Kordsa, a subsidiary of Sabanci Holding, unveiled its new brand dedicated to the electric vehicle market, REV Technologies, during the Tire Technology Expo in Hannover.
The company called the new technology "a significant stride in the journey toward sustainable mobility, designed to meet the requirements and demands of electric vehicles."
The technology, Kordsa said in an April 8 news release, emerged in response to growing demands in the EV sector.
"With the increasing market share of (EVs), we have diversified our portfolio in alignment with our sustainable mobility goal," said Dogan Sevim, Kordsa's chief global sales and marketing officer. "With our new EV brand, REV Technologies, we further bolster our commitment to shaping the future of sustainable mobility."
Huseyin Ates, Kordsa chief technology officer, said REV Technologies showcases the company's commitment to innovation by focusing on low rolling resistance, enhanced durability and sustainability.
"With REV Technologies, we not only enhance the performance of electric vehicles but also directly address tire needs, contributing to vehicle efficiency and reducing carbon footprint," Ates said.
Headquartered in Izmit, Turkey, Kordsa is a global player in the advanced materials market for tire, construction and composite reinforcement products. It operates in 13 facilities throughout seven countries including Turkey, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, Italy, the U.S. and Germany.
