Katrina Cornish received the Charles Goodyear Medal during the ACS Rubber Division's Spring Technical Meeting. Cornish, only the second woman to receive this recognition, earned the medal for her work toward developing guayule as a domestic alternative for natural rubber.

Denka Performance Elastomer L.L.C. has asked the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals to validate the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality's authority in granting the company a two-year extension to a 90-day compliance period imposed by the U.S. EPA for chloroprene emissions.
