FAIRLAWN, Ohio—There's a benefit to putting yourself out there. Sometimes, it means finding the right job for you. Other times, it means the right candidate comes your way.
The ACS Rubber Division is giving rubber industry companies and job seekers the chance to make those connections during its annual career fair, held in conjunction with the International Elastomer Conference in Cleveland.
The career fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 10, the final day of three-day conference, which will be hosted at Huntington Bank Convention Center.
Companies wishing to participate in the career fair may sign-up online or by contacting Melanie Avdeyev at [email protected] or 330-595-5537. The cost is $100 and includes a badge for the expo on Oct. 10, allowing one person to represent the company at the career fair table.
The International Elastomer Conference is designed to provide rubber industry companies, professionals and students with the opportunity to network, expand business opportunities and grow professionally.
More than 130 papers will be presented during the Technical Meeting, and six courses will be offered during the Educational Symposium.
This year's agenda also includes the inaugural pre-conference women's workshop, aimed at empowering women throughout the industry by providing the chance to make connections and share ideas.
The conference expo will include representatives from 200 rubber industry companies, and students looking to make their foray into the industry will have a chance to do so through the student colloquium and career fair.
The International Elastomer Conference is slated for Oct. 8-10 at the Huntington Bank Convention Center in Cleveland. More details about the conference, including registration and housing information, can be found at rubberiec.org.
Early bird registration rates end Aug. 31.
