INDIANAPOLIS—A group of rubber, plastics and mold-building associations are collaborating to host a monthly series of programs intended to help illuminate leadership opportunities for young professionals.
The Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors' Young Professionals Network, The American Mold Builders Association Emerging Leaders Network and the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers' young professionals groups are starting a new workshop series, "Virtual Ignition—Lighting Your Path to Leadership."
The monthly series of programs include speakers and follow-up discussions, during which young professionals can study leadership through a climate of change and uncertainty. The aim, the associations said, is to empower the industry's next generation and help young professionals strengthen their leadership skills.
The initial session will be May 21 at 2 p.m. EST. Hosted by Alex Hoffer, chief revenue officer at Hoffer Plastics in St. Charles, Ill., the program titled "Leading during Times of Uncertainty," will discuss "work, home and self," with a focus on guiding others both personally and professionally.
Workshops will be offered on the third Thursday of every month and include post-program discussions.
All sessions are free for members of MAPP, AMBA and ARPM.
