NORTH BAY, Ontario—Goodyear is adding a bead-to-bead mold-cure OTR retread for loader and grader applications to the portfolio of premium retreaded OTR tires it has available for customers in the U.S. and Canada.
The new product, in Goodyear's RT-38 tread pattern, is available in sizes 20.5R25 and 23.5R25. Goodyear produces its range of OTR retreads at a dedicated plant in North Bay.
Goodyear said the product can provide a savings of up to 60% versus a new tire while extending the life of a casing. Pricing information was not disclosed.
Features and benefits of the RT-3B retread include:
- Low heat generation and long hours to removal promoted by its 115-level tread depth.
- Cut-resistance and traction provided by its centerline lugs and open shoulder.
"We are always focused on delivering high value and low cost of ownership to our OTR customers," said Loic Ravasio, general manager of global and Americas OTR.
"The RT-3B is a substantial addition to our retread portfolio providing another great option for operators to help drive efficiency, reduce costs and protect the environment."
Besides the RT-38, Goodyear offers OTR retreads in five other patterns for loaders/graders: RL-4K/5K; AS-3A; SXT-4/5; RL-2+; and SMO-4/5.
