HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam—The inaugural UTechSoutheast Asia exhibition and conference will be held April 26-28, 2022 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, Crain Communications announced.
A three-day conference will run alongside the exhibition.
The conference was prompted by the rapidly expanding market for polyurethane products and systems in Southeast Asia, and Vietnam in particular.
"Vietnam is the obvious place to expand the UTech brand beyond our established markets in Europe, America, China and the Middle East/Africa," said Debbie Hershfield, UTech Trade Show director.
"We are excited to bring visitors from across the region to see the latest in materials and technology from our global and local exhibitors, as well as showcasing learning, innovation and business opportunities in our conference sessions and on the trade show floor."
There has been rapid growth in a number of polyurethane processing sectors in the region in recent years. Geographically, Vietnam is close to Indonesia to the south, and Thailand and Malaysia to the west. The petrochemical hubs of Map Ta Phut, Thailand and Singapore are nearby to supply raw materials for PU manufacturers and processors.
Crain Communications, which published Rubber & Plastics News, also publishes UTech-polyurethane.com and Urethanes Technology International magazine.
