MADRID—Dynasol Group is implementing surcharges for synthetic rubber and rubber chemicals produced in Europe beginning Nov. 1.
The surcharge will be $349 per metric ton.
"Energy prices and CO2 certificates have significantly increased throughout the year and continue to do so, reaching levels we can no longer absorb alone," Dynasol said in an Oct. 19 press release. The company expects the cost of natural gas and electricity to continue to rise for the foreseeable.
Madrid-based Dynasol Group is a joint venture between KUO and Repsol.
