MADRID, Spain—For the second time in two years, Dynasol Group has been recognized for its sustainability in the synthetic rubber and chemical industries.
The joint venture between the Mexico-based KUO Group, a supplier of consumer business products, chemicals and auto parts; and Madrid-based Repsol S.A., a fossil fuel company, recently received gold in the EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment Awards. Dynasol received the gold award in 2018 as well.
"We are proud to achieve the EcoVadis medal gold rating once again," said Felipe Varela, director of Dynasol Group. "This demonstrates our commitment to sustainability, based on respect for the environment, work and human rights, ethics and a sustainable supply chain. We are positioned in the top 98 percentile of our industry."
Sustainability remains a priority with its rubber and chemicals, Dynasol said.
"We apply the global concept of sustainability to each location in which we operate in search of the best solutions to preserve the environment of all our centers," the company said. "We are committed to the protection of the planet through a sustainable management of natural resources."
Dynasol Group's estimated revenues were more than $700 million in 2019 and the company produced more than 500,000 tons. The JV has production centers in Spain, Mexico and China, and the company serves more than 500 clients in 70 countries.
