BLOOMFIELD, Mich.—The rescheduled annual golf outing for the Detroit Rubber Group is set for later this summer, as the organization tees it up Aug. 25 at Bay Pointe Golf Club.
The outing will begin at 9 a.m. at the West Bloomfield course, with shotgun start.
"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we had to push the date back a little bit, but we are good to go and excited to see everyone," said Chris Tolliver, DRG member and golf outing organizer.
Tolliver said Bay Pointe—where the group traditionally has had the annual outing—is "taking all the necessary precautions and following the guidelines set forth."
The DRG also is looking for volunteers to assist with registration and companies to provide sponsorships and raffle prizes. All proceeds help fund the Detroit Rubber Group Scholarships.
