Detroit, Ontario rubber groups to tee it up

DETROIT—The Detroit Rubber Group will host its annual golf outing Aug. 25 in West Bloomfield, Mich., at Bay Pointe Golf Club.

All skill levels are welcome, and volunteer opportunities are available with registration. Company opportunities are available for sponsorships as well.

A hole-in-one prize (a $1,000 gift card) already has been sponsored by AirBoss. Closest-to-the-hole gift cards will be offered by TA Instruments, and two additional beverage tickets can be won from Ace Laboratories.

Proceeds from the event benefit Detroit Rubber Group-sponsored scholarships.

Ontario Rubber Group

The Ontario Rubber Group is planning its annual golf outing, to take place Sept. 19 at the Royal Ontario Golf Club in Milton, Ontario.

Cost is about $150 ($190 CD) and includes lunch and dinner, golf with a cart and door prizes.

The group will tee off at noon, with registration and lunch at 11 a.m.

Money raised from the outing supports new technologies and a new bursary for students entering the rubber industry.
