TOKYO—Denka Co. Ltd. will increase prices for chloroprene rubber products, marketed under the brand name Denka Chloroprene.
Effective Sept. 2, the price increase is "more than $500 or €460" per metric ton, depending on the destination, Denka said Aug. 19.
The Japan-based supplier cited the "continuously rising cost" of production and transportation for the price revision.
"Our effort alone cannot absorb all the rising costs, although we are making the best effort to minimize it," it added.
The price increase, Denka said, will help maintain the stable supply and business continuity.
