FAIRLAWN, Ohio—Continental A.G. is adding to its hydraulic hose line with the X-Line XCP5 flexible braided hose.
The new X-Life product offers 5000 PSI working pressure, flame and corrosion resistance, ISO 18752 compliance and a host of other features, Continental said.
"The XCP5 is an addition to our family of constant pressure braided hoses," Laszlo Dobo, head of product management for hydraulic solutions, said in a statement. "It has excellent impulse performance and flexibility, and the X-Life abrasion cover provides extra abrasion resistance, increased hose assembly life, and reduced machine maintenance cost."
Having been in the hydraulic hose business for over 50 years, the company is committed to delivering "an extended portfolio of hoses for a more diverse range of industries." Dobo said that the new product is just one part of the company's mission to offer a full portfolio of hydraulic hoses across the global industrial landscape.
"The X-Life XCP5 hose is best for applications that require tight bends and flexibility, including in the agriculture, mining, manufacturing, construction and energy industries," the company said. "It works in temperatures ranging from -40 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit."
As part of its extended hose business plan, Continental announced in 2024 the construction of a $90 million hose manufacturing plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The plant will enable the company to double its production capacity throughout the hose sector.
