BOSTON—Uncountable Inc. is helping Cabot Corp. get more connected.
The lab informatics platform helped Cabot "get out of siloed spreadsheets, multiple request systems, and individual reporting tools that were currently supporting all of their technology teams," Uncountable said in a news release.
Cabot, it said, had been using different systems for each of its businesses, with no connectivity between them.
Cabot now uses Uncountable across five R&D sites, allowing scientists, engineers, lab managers and technicians to collaborate in real-time.
"We were looking for a solution that got all of our information in one place and did it in a way that created a good, clean data structure that we could use to build our own databases seamlessly," said Cabot CTO Patricia Hubbard, who oversaw the pilot process and the implementation of the system. "Uncountable has been a great partner to us in the implementation process and we are excited to see how we can use their platform to transform how we use our R&D data to drive growth."
