TOKYO—Bridgestone Corp. has resumed operations at four plants in Japan following a suspension of operations at the facilities last week due to heavy storms.
Manufacturing was suspended July 10 at two plants in Fukuoka, at Kurume City, and Amagi, Asakura City, and another at Tosu City, Saga, Bridgestone informed European Rubber Journal.
Bridgestone produces light vehicle and truck/bus tires in Amagi; passenger car, LV, aircraft and racing tires in Kurume; and PCR and LV tires in Tosu.
In addition, production was halted at Bridgestone's tire cord manufacturing plant at Kamimine Town, Saga, the group said in a written statement.
Operations at all four sites resumed on July 11, Bridgestone said.
